Marketplace Professional Staffing is a 28-year-old, locally owned and operated staffing agency, with an outstanding reputation. We are currently looking for a Customer Service Representative for a local Greenville, SC manufacturing company.
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Position Summary
The customer service representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department.
Responsibilities:
- Receives and processes all customer orders on a daily basis and communicating with customers as necessary to ensure service of orders.
- Enters daily data and processes sales orders, warehouse transfer orders, shipping arrangements, shipping quotes, and sample requests.
- Coordinates with sales, production, packaging, and shipping the timely processing of all customer orders.
- Communicates with assigned sales representatives to ensure customers are serviced properly and that new customers are added to the system. Communicates with customers the status of their orders.
- Maintains and updates customer ship to information, maintaining and updating customer contact information, product information, packaging and shipping requirements with guidance from the sales representative and management.
- Updates sales management and/or technical department with customer information as required.
- Facilitates communication between departments in order to handle customer special requests and problems.
- Provides support to other customer service representatives during an absences to include other sales offices.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- Must have prior customer service with in manufacturing and/or transportation
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer relationship skills.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and be able to conduct analyses and generate reports to reflect findings. Must be able to perform the manipulation of numbers and math calculations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, move, push, and/or pull up to 25 pounds. The employee must frequently use computer and other special operating equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
