Marketplace Professional Staffing is a 27-year-old, locally owned and operated staffing agency, with an outstanding reputation. We are currently seeking an experienced Saw Operator associate for a local Mauldin, South Carolina organization.

• The job is precise in nature and involves set-up and operation of equipment to efficiently perform work. Operation of the Band Saw and all primary equipment. Sharpen, shape, and dress cutting tools, grinding wheels, and other tools used in the operation.
• Some experience with precision measuring tools and equipment such as: microscopes, calipers, micrometers, read blueprints and drawings and specify height gauges

Hours:

• 6AM – 2:30PM, Monday – Friday
• Overtime when needed is mandatory.

Saw Operator

All of the following prerequisites must be met in order to be eligible for the Saw Operator position:

1. Demonstrated ability to interface and communicate with alternate shift personnel in a clear, mutually cooperative manner, and the demonstrated ability to work well with others.

2. Demonstrated willingness to be flexible in work area or shift, as required to meet demand or provide vacation/sickness coverage, including weekends.

3. Demonstrated positive attitude and willingness to work within a team environment.

4. Must have satisfactory performance and attendance in current role.

5. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers

6. Demonstrated ability to closely follow instruction

The job requires a high level of precision involving set-up and operation of equipment. Responsibilities include sawing block to specification in a safe manner.

Types of operations included are:

• Sawing
• Other operations as required

Essential duties require:

• Standing for extended periods of time
• Repetitive use of hands
• Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds occasionally
• Turning, leaning, and twisting
