ASSEMBLY PURCHASING INVENTORY
SC - SPARTANBURG, SC
Department consisting of clerical duties and procurement of required parts for customer orders and supplies to
support the Assembly facility.
Input German/Brazil/Finland container maintenance in the AS400 and packing slips in Excel.
Manually process German/Brazil packing slips, listings sales order numbers for special parts on packing slips.
Enter German container orders into the AS400 and download to Germany via EDI.
Manually check German/Brazil order confirmations against purchase orders.
Receive German/Brazil/Finland all other invoices to stock, container and air into the AS400.
Forward German/Brazil Invoices 10+2 customs documents for customs broker.
Process all scrap, all returns to stock and Norm issues using the AS400.
Maintain special parts purchase order log in Excel.
Process shortage and explosion reports daily.
Process suspended orders from Customer Service.
Process interplant orders from other facilities.
Order all interplant orders.
Order all supplies for office and warehouse.
Enter domestic purchase orders in AS400.
Check on late orders domestic/German/Brazil.
Process Low Notes.
Run month-end reports (Canada and all interplant).
Help Assistant Operations Managers where needed.
Help with compact/planetary spreadsheets.
Aid in conducting year-end physical inventory. (This include keying tickets, proofing of ticket entry, and other help where needed.)
Relieve at switchboard when required. Must comply with all current ISO Quality and Work Instructions for job, all company safety rules, and all
other company rules, policies and procedures.
Access each situations and do not perform any tasks which s/he feels is unsafe, on which s/he has not
received training or engage in any unsafe work. Report any unsafe condition to his/her manager.
Read and understand supporting documentation for the work area.
Perform other tasks as requested.
Ability to perform all tasks listed above to the company s expectations.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with continuous interruptions.
Must have good oral and written communication and organizational skills
Ability to follow instruction, written and verbal.
Ability to organize workload for timely accomplishment of work.
Ability to communicate with all company employees in a positive, professional, friendly, and courteous manner. Work harmoniously with co-workers.
Possess strong overall office skills, including use of computers, their applications and other office equipment.
Must be able to occasionally sit, stand, walk, react with hands and arms, push and pull, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.
Ability to be flexible.
Ability to use Word and Excel is required as well as other software.
Must have accurate data entry and math skills.
Must possess a general knowledge of Purchasing/Inventory functions.
