Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather, assemble, and/or fabricate parts using a variety of hand and power tools according to strict specifications
Assembly of all electrical and mechanical devices comprising a complete control
Measuring, cutting, crimping, and soldering of wire harnesses
Occasional shearing, sawing, drilling, punching, or tapping holes in sheet metal
Maintain clean and safe work area
Manage time effectively and efficiently
Education High School Diploma or GED
Must be minimum of 18 years of age
Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or another related field
High level knowledge and experience with hand and power tools
Understanding of electrical and electronic devices
Strong mechanical/electrical/electronic aptitude
Willingness and ability to learn new skills on the job
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
Problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
Desire to multitask in a fast-paced, often-changing environment
Must pass physical, drug screen, and background check
Language Ability Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Math Ability Be able to understand and compute advanced math problems.
Well ventilated area, cement floors
Exposure to in-plant temperatures between 40F and exceeding 100F
Unusual Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs as required (when necessary on certain jobs)
Ability to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, grip, reach, walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time and in a repetitive motion.
Ability to work an 8-hour shift schedule.
Ability to work at a table for long periods of time
Born and raised in Upstate SC, Niki has been working in staffing and recruiting for over 2 years. She began her career as a telecommunications recruiter for merchandisers all along the East coast. Niki joined the Marketplace Professional Staffing team in September of 2018.
Outside of work, Niki enjoys spending time on her family’s 4th generation farm. She is an avid reader and loves to expand her knowledge through reading and research.
