Laboratory Technician level I

• 2nd shift | Monday to Friday | 4pm – 12am
• Overtime is Mandatory when needed
• $18 - $22 per hour based on experience

Marketplace Professional Staffing is a 28-year-old, locally owned and operated staffing agency, with an outstanding reputation. We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician level I for a local company in Piedmont, South Carolina.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Analyze designated lines; AA analysis as scheduled – Daily; Sample collection from lines – Daily
• Wet Analysis of plating tanks, cleaners, acids and topcoats – Daily; Entering of Analysis data into Zinc-It – Daily
• Monitor SPC Charts and report as trend data as needed.
• Calibrate pH meters as scheduled; Complete scheduled Maintenance requests on time.
• Analyze Other Facility’s samples as needed.
• Refill any titrant containers, DI water, etc.
• Prepare Chemical Dump Sheet / Add Sheet on Friday. Enter any weekend Chemical Adds or tank dumps.
• Chemical Inventory required for Lab 1 and 2
• Give Chemical Handler daily adds and work with him as needed.
• Verification of auto feed pumps and data entry into Zinc-It – Daily/Weekly
• Other duties as they arise and are specified primarily concerning lab work and plant operation - Daily
• Audit Buffers, Reagents to ensure in date and not expired.
• Chemical Inventory required for Lab, Waste Treatment and Process chemicals.

OTHER:

• Responsible for housekeeping in Lab and designated chemical add areas.
• HWMOA(Waste Treatment and Hazardous Waste Management Operator Assistant) and Training.
• Check the metals and chrome in W.T when needed. Back-up as needed. Chemical additions to process tanks to maintain compliance.
• Prepare Chemical Dump Sheet / Add Sheet on Friday with Production Manager.
• Enter Tank Dumps typically on Monday or when they occur.
• Report any accidents or safety issues in your work area to upper management
• Follow safety procedures and Company policies
• Participate in monthly Vital Signs meetings
• Responsible for housekeeping in Labs
• Report any accidents or safety issues in your work area to upper management

WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS:

• Proper PPE , gloves, safety glasses and or shield, Lab Coat when needed
• Chemical Handler training completed

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

• Education: High School
• Experience: 3 Years Laboratory Experience
• Knowledge and skills: Computer skills, conversion from US to metric systems
