Maintenance Technician - Level 3

$26- $32/hr Depending on experience

Marketplace Professional Staffing is a 27-year-old, locally owned and operated staffing agency, with an outstanding reputation. We are currently seeking a Level 3 Maintenance Technician for a local company in Piedmont, South Carolina.

Hours:

• 7:30am - 4pm
• On call nights and weekends
• Overtime is mandatory when needed

PRIMARY DUTIES:

* Responsible for saving all computer and PLC backups

* Manage spare parts for computer and PLC for all machines

* Responds as needed to waste treatment breakdown and repair calls.

* Responds as needed equipment breakdown and repair calls.

* Manage improvement projects as directed by Plant Engineer.

* Responsible for cleanliness and organization of work area

* Serves as 24 hour responder for after hour breakdowns (via cell phone).

* Provide positive guidance for lower level technicians.

Other:

* Works with Plant Engineer on disciplinary issues.
* Understands how to open and close plant
* Assists in housekeeping/5S activities plant wide as needed.
* Understands maintenances’ importance in supporting WT and production activities.
* Understands lock out/tag out system, confined space entry system and other safety related policies.
* Understands Maintenance Escalation Plan.
* Maintains repair and replacement inventory list for computer and PLC.
* Informs Maintenance Team Leader on repair and replacement inventory needs

Quality and Environmental System Responsibilities:
* Awareness of the Management System Policy – Posted at production office.
* Awareness of company Quality and Environmental Objectives – Posted at each plating line.
* Awareness of the Significant Environmental Aspects related to your work area and activities

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• High School / GED required
• 3-year minimum maintenance experience
• Demonstrated mechanical and electrical (480v) experience
• Hydraulics & pneumatics experience preferred

Knowledge and skills:

• Computer skills, conversion from US to metric
• Maintenance Technician Level 2 skills and PLC, Project Management
• Multiple skills sets including mechanical, electrical, welding, general plant maintenance and inventory control
