Maintenance Technician

Marketplace Professional Staffing is a 28-year-old, locally owned and operated staffing agency, with an outstanding reputation. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a Piedmont, SC company

• $32.00 per hour
• Shift Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday / Weekend as needed

Responsible for:

• Troubleshooting problems on equipment and machinery and identifying solutions.
• Properly lubricate machinery, air filter cleaning, perform meter readings, belt inspections, air, hydraulic, and water line inspections.
• Have a working knowledge of bearings, proper applications, and machine alignment.
• Diagnose and repair more complex problems prior to machine part failure.
• Understands tension controls, load cells, brake systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, water systems, cylinders, and roller change outs.
• Chillers, industrial heater functions, rubber roller inspections, and nip roller knowledge a plus
• Strong electrical; PLC & load cell experience a plus
• Welding & fabrication.
• Computer skills.
• Sources outside assistance when required.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Execute lock out/tag out procedures as required on all equipment.
• Be on call for emergency.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude.
• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Any mechanical certifications and degrees a plus
• Strong math skills
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work over when required or come in early when needed; some weekend work may be required.
• Must be a team player.
• Prior Maintenance Technician experience required.
• Excellent skills in root cause analysis
• Must possess interpersonal skills and be able to communicate on all levels.
